About Us
A message from the Vocare Steering Committee:

Young Adult, College Missioner, Young Adult Group Leader, Clergy?

If you fit one the above descriptions you may have heard of Vocare before. What you may not know is that
Vocare in Diocese of Texas is undergoing a lot of change.  This change began about 3 years ago when we
stripped our current weekend ministry structure of all the so– called fluff that made it very youth oriented
and began to gear toward a more liturgical format.

3 years later Vocare’s steering committee began feeling that this wasn’t enough and it was time to take
Vocare in a whole new direction and create a whole new experience.

Part of this revamp includes taking some time off from hosting our ministry weekends to begin to build the
young adult community in the diocese.  You should start hearing more about Vocare and its hosted events.

It is our hope that you will help us build the young adult community not because it benefits our particular
ministry but purely for the sake of building community within this age range.  19-35 years olds have a
tendency to get looked over and we are trying to do our part to change this for our diocese.

We  want to challenge young adults get involved in a relationship with Christ, their church,  and a ministry-
any ministry.  We would very much appreciate your help in spreading the word, encouraging young adults to
get involved and give Vocare a chance to continue the mission it began in 1979 by providing us a place to
go.

Forget what you think you know about us, we aren’t the same.

                                             We were challenged. We accepted.

                                                    Your Move.
